Hello and welcome to the seventy-first Episode of the Ministry Encouragement Podcast!  I am thrilled that you have taken time from your busy schedule to join me today as we take a look at an incredibly important topic related to the ministry of all Christ-followers:

Debunking Myths About Authentic Evangelism

Authentic evangelism is ministry which seeks to love others with the unconditional love of Jesus Christ, consistently over time – requiring nothing from them in return.  Much of what is labeled as “evangelism” is actually not Biblical evangelism at all.  In fact Biblical evangelism is not high pressure, pushy or hurtful to us.

Today we will examine together some of the most popular, contemporary myths that our society, media and culture perpetuate about authentic evangelism.  We will take some time to identify the myths and then call them what they are: lies.  So we will refute the lies with the Truth about authentic evangelism, giving each of us encouragement to love others with the unconditional love of Jesus Christ consistently, requiring nothing from them in return.  Should we do this with greater consistency, many additional lives will change.

There are several supporting Biblical TEXTS related to the reality of authentic evangelism which I will share in the podcast today:

Isaiah 43:18-19

Matthew 28:16-20

Luke 10:1-3

Acts 1:8

John 15:12-15

Now that you have listened to this episode today, would you please consider sharing it with someone that you feel would benefit and grow from this teaching?  It may be a relative, a friend, a co-worker, or someone who is seeking to grow in their faith.  You can touch them through sharing with them.

You may also be part of a small group, Sunday School class or a Bible study.  Perhaps you would like to use this with the friends in your group as a topic for one of your meetings.  It’s my prayer that this has blessed and encouraged your life.
