The Ministry Encouragement Podcast – Episode #33, by Rev. Jim W. Hollis – 2-13-13

Greetings to each of you and welcome to our thirty-third episode of the Ministry Encouragement Podcast.  I’m Rev. Jim W. Hollis and am blessed to serve as the Executive Director of Proactive Ministries, located in Smyrna, GA.  Proactive Ministries is the sponsor of this weekly podcast.  I also want to say a special word of thanks today to each of you as donors who have made this podcast possible.

Today I will be walking us through a very close look at a major encouragement section of Scripture in Philippians 2:1-11.  We will think together about the question, so relevant for our culture and lives today:

How Can We Live as Encouragers for Christ to Others?

  • Our world today and each of us could use more JOY in our lives – we will talk about ways to find it.
  • We will investigate how we can come to have the same mind in Christ.
  • Paul, in writing this letter to Christians in his day, also encouraged us to have the same love.  What does that mean?
  • We are called to put others first, taking up the mantle of a servant, rather than one being served.

The text we will be exploring is rich with ideas of how we can improve the quality of our spiritual lives.  It’s my prayer as you listen to this podcast you will know how honored I feel to share your life in this way.  I pray that it will bless your life, encourage your spirit and give you spiritual motivation to be an encourager in your own faith.

As always I encourage you to share this Episode and others with those you know, including but not limited to:

  • Your friends
  • Your family members
  • Persons in  your Bible study, small group, connect group or other fellowship group
  • Your pastor or pastors
  • Someone that you are helping to grow in their own faith

Please let me hear from you with your prayer requests in one of the following ways:

  1. By contacting me on email: jim@ministryencouragementpodcast.com
  2. By giving me a phone call at our ministry offices: (770) 803-9988
  3. By leaving me a Voicemail on this blog page on the right side, using your microphone and mouse
  4. By becoming a friend of mine on Facebook (Jim W. Hollis)

Until next time, may Christ richly bless you and give you new found strength and passion to be an encourager of lives for Him.  The Holy Spirit will guide us, empower us and bring the joy in our lives that only ministry can deliver.  I hope to hear from each of you!

In Christ’s Grace,

Jim
