This week and next week I’m having a very special guest on our Podcast: Rev. Jim Burt, who serves as the Director of Ministry Development with Proactive Ministries. Jim has served as a pastor of churches in the Midwest USA for 25 years before joining our Staff 7 years ago. He works very closely with our ministry and leads many of our teaching weekends across America.
Our topic for this week and next week is an exciting and relevant one for each of us as we enter the season of Advent and Christmas:
Twelve Ways We Can Be Encouragers
This week we will be addressing the first six:
- By sharing the Scriptures: (Romans 15:4-5)
- By our spoken words (Proverbs 16:24)
- By writing! (That’s what God did in giving us the Holy Bible)
- By acts of kindness and self-sacrifice (John 15:13)
- By expressing thankfulness and appreciation to a person (Philippians 1:3)
- By prayer (Philippians 1:4-6)
